Who we are – CaPPP (Counsellors & Psychotherapists in Private Practice) CaPPP is a membership organisation for counsellors and psychotherapists in private practice in the south west of England.

 

What we do with your information – The information you give us when you join CaPPP which includes your contact details, qualifications and practice description and any later updates you give us are stored on our secure website which can be accessed by other members from the member’s area. The member’s area of the website is not accessible to non-members (Our website host is ISO27001 and ISO9001 certified and GDPR compliant). Your email address is also used to create your capppchat account. We also keep a record of your name, email address and postcode in our membership database which records the date of your membership subscription payments. We use your capppchat email address to send you news about CaPPP and CaPPP events. We will occasionally send you details about events that other counselling and psychotherapy organisations that we have a reciprocal arrangement with are offering. Each year we will also use your CaPPPchat email address to remind you about membership renewal.

Your contact details are kept securely, via encrypted, electronic files. Postal membership applications and evidence of qualifications are securely destroyed after the information has been transferred to our electronic records. If you notify us that you wish to cancel your CaPPP membership we will delete all the details, we hold about you in our database, on our website and we will delete your capppchat account.

 

Who your information will be shared with – CaPPP will not share your details with any other party. We do not give your details to reciprocal organisations but simply pass on details, via CaPPPchat, of any events they are offering.

 

CaPPP is registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
