SUMMARY:Working with Narrative and Metaphor with Nigel Gibbons
DESCRIPTION:CaPPP online cpd training day\n\n\n\nThis interactive workshop provides participants with an opportunity to develop their understanding. \nTelling stories and the vagueness which clients often struggle with as they talk about all that troubles them\, can seem to be a problem in the counselling room. Drawing on his work from using creative writing therapeutically\, and narrative approaches including Narrative Therapy\, alongside his work as a Focusing-oriented Therapist\, Nigel will lead an experientially-based day to help us work with the narratives and metaphors clients bring. \nFacilitator profile: Nigel Gibbons \nNigel has been teaching on Metanoia’s MSc in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes for nearly ten years\, and is a counsellor\, supervisor and facilitator. \nThere will be a break in the morning\, at lunch time and in the afternoon \nPrice: CaPPP Members £25.00\, Non-members £35.00 \nBooking: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/working-with-narrative-and-metaphor-with-nigel-gibbons-tickets-138731103465 \nPlaces are limited and must be booked in advance by 18.00 on Wednesday 10th February. A link to the event will be emailed to you at the latest 24 hours before the start of the event. \nCPD certificates will be sent to participants who complete an evaluation form.
